Radio One's Malini to head Channel [V] website

MUMBAI: Radio One programming director and RJ Malini Agarwal would be joining Channel [V] as a producer for their online content. Malini will step down as the programming director and only host her night slot �Malini till Midnight' - Mondays to Thursdays from 9 pm till midnight.

Speaking about the new development, Agarwal says, I would be joining Channel [V] from 1 September and head their official website. As Channel [V] changed its positioning to �Bloody Cool', their official website will also undergo changes. The website will get more interactive and include elements of Bollywood, Fashion, Videos, blogs etc. My blog �Miss Malini' would also be part of the website and I would be blogging regularly....

During the channel makeover, it was announced that Channel [V] will launch its standalone website. The channel's website was changed from vindia.com to channelv.in and will be unveiled in beta version on 22nd August. The website promises to be more interactive and will not merely replicate the channel's content. Media reports in media mention that Channel [V] is spending Rs 50 million for revamping the channel and the new look will be revealed this weekend.

Malini Agarwal joined Win 94.6 in 2002 as RJ and producer, moving to Radio One the next year as RJ, producer and webmaster for radioone.in. She has earlier been the Channel Head - Romance & Sexuality (web) for MTV Networks India. Agarwal is also the Bollywood correspondent for BBC Asia Network talking about Bollywood gupshup straight from Mumbai. Agarwal is also active in the music scene and founded the social network �Friday Club' which has over 200 members in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hong Kong, Toronto, London, and New York.
