Radio Misty plans innovation through book

MUMBAI: Known for its out of the box content and carving its niche Radio Misty has once again come up with an innovative programme. The network has introduced a book reading session for a population that loves and enjoys reading. This reading session will be conducted by Robin Gupta, author of ‘And what remains in the end’ followed by an interactive session.

The three-hour long session will be held on 3 August and excerpts of it will be aired on Radio Misty. Gupta’s book ‘And what remains in the end’ is based on the region of North Bengal and Sikkim. “Around 300 people are expected to attend this session. This will include people from all walks of life. This is a part of innovative activity we do for on-air and on-ground activity,” Radio Misty CEO Nishant Mittal told Radioandmusic.com.

He further added, “Gupta’s book is specially liked in this region because it speaks about the life-style of people in this region 30 years back. People here are more inclined towards books and radio; and we are exploring both through this activity.”

This session will be on invitation basis only and will take place at Club Montana Visa, Silugiri.

This station has been working constantly to update their content on the feedback for their audiences and alter it every three months. Radio Misty has stations in Siliguri in West Bengal and Gangtok in Sikkim. In 2011, Radio Misty made a national record in Limca book of records for being the only FM station in country to broadcast shows and music in most languages.
