Radio Misty completes two years

MUMBAI: Radio Misty has completed two years of its operation in North Bengal on 14 November. The station which operates in the city of Siliguri and Gangtok has BBC and Radio Netherlands worldwide as partners.

The station celebrated the day with children's at Anubhav-creche for mentally challenged children at Siliguri where lunch was hosted for these children by Radio Misty and gifts were distributed amongst them. The children also performed cultural show in Big Bazar, where huge crowd gathered to cheer them. There was a contest at Big Bazar, where listeners' were given gift hampers. A tagline contest was organised by Radio Misty and winners were declared in the evening. Radio Misty also partnered with G D Goneka public school for splash-art fest in school grounds, where thousands of students participated. RJ of Radio Misty were present to take live links from the grounds. Radio Misty also partnered with DJ Dance party organised by Gyan Jyoti College students.

Mayor of siliguri municipal corporation Gangtori Dutta, Member of Parliament Suraj Pathak, District Magistrate of Darjeeling Surendra Gupta and several other people joined them on air to wish Radio Misty.

Radio Misty CEO Nishant Mittal says, "This success has been possible due to youthful team of Radio Misty. We always look for innovative shows on air and ground activities. We have u undertaken in about 400 ground activations this year. This is a very successful year for us. We have dedicated this station to listeners, where listeners' decided on music content and shows. This is listeners' station. We undertake revamps every three-four months because we want to give something new to our listeners. We want to bring in the element of change frequently and not make our programming monotonous and stereotyped. We want to give refreshed programming to our listeners so that they do not lose interest and are glued to the station.
