MUMBAI: Entertainment Network India Ltd's (ENIL) FM radio business, operating under the Radio Mirchi brand, has posted a net profit (standalone) of Rs 522.09 million for the fiscal ended 31 March 2011, up 192 per cent from Rs 178.67 million a year ago.

The jump in the net profit includes profit of Rs 123 million arising from the sale of its subsidiary Times Innovative Media (TIM) to parent company Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited (BCCL).

Revenue jumped 21.25 per cent to Rs 2.8 billion, as against Rs 2.31 billion a year ago. Expenses stood at Rs 2.23 billion (from Rs 2.08 billion year ago), while Ebitda was at Rs 910 million, up 53 per cent.

On a consolidated basis, ENIL has piosted a net profit of Rs 171.74 million as against a net loss of Rs 153.21 million in the previous fiscal.

For the fiscal year 2010-11, consolidated revenues were at Rs 4.62 billion, up from Rs 4.23 billion.

Expenses, however, came down to Rs 4.04 billion from Rs 4.31 billion in the year-ago period.

Meanwhile, for the three month period ended 31 March, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 180.33 million, up from a net profit of Rs 47.64 million it had posted in the corresponding quarter of theprevious fiscal.

Revenue surged 34 per cent to Rs 821.51 million in the quarter (from Rs 611.93 million), while Ebitda rose by 120 per cent to Rs 326 million. Ebitda margin improved from 24 per cent in the fourth-quarter of previous fiscal to 40 per cent during the quarter under review.

On a consolidated basis, ENIL reported a revenue of Rs 927 million and net profit of Rs 203 million for the fourth quarter.
