MUMBAI: Radio Mantra is bidding farewell to the decade with a Music Marathon, the first phase of which kicked off  on 21 December with a marathon of the Top 40 songs from 2001 to 2009. The series is being aired each evening   till the 30th of December. And to keep the excitement going, the second phase will take its listeners through the Top 100 songs of 2010 on the 31st of December. This will be followed, on the 1st of January, with the Top 100 of the entire decade, featuring the best songs of 2001 to 2010.

On both days, i.e. 31 December and 1 January, the countdowns will be followed by a special edition of 'Dil Ka DJ'; the non-stop remix show for 5 continuous hours, which will start from 9 pm and go on till 2 am.

Kanwar Sameer, National Programming Head, Radio Mantra, said, We have been doing the mega countdown every year, featuring the top 100 of the year, but  Music Marathon of the Decade is our grand tribute to our listeners for all the love they have showered on us....

To ensure the celebration keeps going, Mantra will give out prizes throughout the marathon. Listeners can vote for their favorite top song of a particular year, and if their choice features in the top five, they stand to win exciting prizes.
