Radio Indigo celebrates Women's day

MUMBAI:To mark International Women's day, Radio Indigo 91.9FM will honour a woman achiever from Bangalore, with the special "Indigo Woman of the year" award.

The award is conferred to recognise contributions of the women in their respective fields. The 'Indigo Woman of the year' will be one person chosen after an extensive SMS poll organized by Indigo. The achievers shortlisted represent fields like Christina Daniels, Author of novel "Ginger, Soda, Lemon, Pop" in 2007, Entrepreneur Vijaya Verma who has experience of close to 25 years in the IT industry and currently leads Yos Technologies, a healthcare IT company. The others in the nomination include Dr Aloma Lobo, Chairperson of the Adoption Coordinating Agency encouraging adoptions of Indian children. She is also Co Author of "The Penguin Guide to adoption in India" released in 2002. Cricketer Karuna Jain who made an instant impression on her debut in 2004, making 64 against West Indies and Jewelry Designer Pallavi Dudeja Folley who won many accolades including Business World / NID design excellence awards 2004, Winner of the "Swarovski Elle d©cor design award 2004" and The Tahitian pearl Trophy 2005.

The ladies will be interviewed on Radio Indigo from 29 February to 6 March on RJ Malavika's show from 7 - 11 am.
