MUMBAI: With FM radio Phase-III getting the government nod, the listed radio companies have gained at the bourses.

Shares of Entertainment Networks (India) Ltd (ENIL), which operates its radio stations under the Radio Mirchi brand, closed Thursday at Rs 278.75, up 5.75 per cent on the BSE. The company touched an intraday high of Rs 286 (8.5 per cent) during the day.

Reliance Broadcast Network (RBNL), which operates the Big FM brand, also gained 7.09 per cent to close at Rs 86.10. The intraday high was Rs 91.40.

Shares of BAG Films and Media (which runs the Dhamaal 24 radio brand) breached the upper circuit on the BSE and closed at Rs 7.56 per share, 9.88 per cent higher than its previous close.

Next Mediaworks, which operates Radio One, saw a 14.75 per cent jump in the stock price to close at Rs 6.69 on the BSE today.

TV Today, which has absorbed the Oye FM business, saw a 2.71 per cent rise in the share price and closed Thursday at Rs 66.25.

Jagran Prakashan, which operates Radio Mantra, saw a marginal hike in its share price. The scrip closed at Rs 121.75, 0.74 per cent up from the previous day's close.

The only company which could not join the rally was Fever FM's holding company HT Media Ltd. The scrip closed at Rs 165, marginally down (0.27%) from its previous close.
