Radio Dhamaal launches reality show across nine stations

MUMBAI: BAG Films' Radio Dhamaal has launched a reality show, BSNL Dhamaal Ke Sitarey across its nine stations. The show hunts for potential singers of tomorrow and claims to pioneer reality show broadcasting on FM stations on a national scale.

Dhamaal Ke Sitaarey invited participation from potential singers in these areas through simple phone calls and road shows. In the first few days the radio station received 800 entries per day, not counting the registrations at the counters, claims the station.

The show has now entered its second stage. From each of its cities, the 10 best singers have been selected, and listeners will now vote for their city winners through SMS. In the third and the final stage, the 10 city winners will fight it out in front of a panel of judges for the coveted crown at an event hosted in Delhi.

Bag Films & Media Ltd group COO Ashish Kaul says, The enthusiastic participation of both contestants and listeners that flooded Dhamaal 24's phone lines and road shows testify the incredible popularity of the show in the towns. We are pleased that the show has received such great response from our listeners and we too are looking forward to the mega final results....
