Radio City ups music on weekends

MUMBAI: Radio City has upped its music quotient on weekends, with an array of new shows and segments coupled with music.

The station has extended its week's programme schedule from Mondays to Saturdays, with a �Back to Back' music segment on late-night weekend radio (11 pm onwards) in cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Pune and Ahmedabad among others. Among the new shows introduced are �Nach 911' (Saturdays) and �Bollywood Rewind' (Sundays).

Radio City has also introduced Nach 911 hosted by RJ Manish Vallicha (9 – 11 pm) on Saturdays in all Hindi Speaking markets, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

�Whatte Fun Sunday' (7-11 am) will bring a musical recap of the week, touching upon insightful topics like values, careers and family also featuring experts from various fields. Another new show - Bollywood Rewind (11-2 pm) with RJ Preksha will play the best of Bollywood retro along with interesting trivia on Bollywood music, films and stars.

Radio City's classic autobiographical show Meri Kahani (2-3 pm) the only show of its kind on Indian FM radio, will be aired on Sunday, showcasing a legendary personality from Indian cinema each week. City Buzz from 3-5 pm will capture a crisp recap of the week and showcase the week's reviews, things to do, city hotspots, hangouts and much, much more. Parde ke Peeche with RJ Archanaa (5-7 pm), a one of its kind behind the scenes Bollywood show will feature Bollywood gossip along with star interviews. The Great Indian Countdown with RJ Praveen (7-9 pm) will give listeners a weekly recap of the Top 20 contemporary hits with insights on latest Bollywood happenings. Closing the evening, Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar with RJ Varun (9-11 pm) will charm listeners with a fresh, free-spirited take on life and romance.
