Radio City rides high on IPL frenzy

MUMBAI: Radio City has launched a contest, 'Radio city 11' for listeners in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.

The contest would be run on the breakfast morning show 'Whatte Fun Mornings' and the evening drive-time show 'Joyride'. The action will continue till the Grand Finale of the series on 1 June in Mumbai. Up for grabs as prizes are match tickets, limited edition team merchandise and exclusive unlimited access to the gods of cricket themselves.

Radio City is the official partner for the Bangalore Royal Challengers. As part of this association, Bangalore's 'Radio City 11' will get an opportunity to meet the Royal Challengers team along with Charu Sharma, cricket commentator and CEO of IPL Bangalore. Listeners can win goodies and merchandise, personally autographed by the Royal Challengers. Charu Sharma would be giving his opinions and analysis pre and post every match on air.The station will air interactions with Kannada film star - Upendra and Ramya as well as Hindi film actor Deepika Padukone - the brand ambassadors for the team and will have astrologer Chandrashekar Swamy offering his match predictions.

Radio City is also associating with Big Music for the album release of the 'Chennai Super Kings Warrior Anthem'. Chennai's Radio City had an exclusive seven day access for the radio play of the Chennai Super Kings Warrior Anthem. The station is also hosting a contest, called the 'Magic Ball Contest' wherein listeners can with a click through their mobile phones hit a 'four' to meet with four top players from the team of Chennai Super Kings or a 'six' to greet six of the top level players from the famous IPL team.

The FM station has also invited Chennai's Radio Citizens to participate in a 'Whatte Fun' slogan contest where 50 lucky listeners stand to win Invites for the Exclusive Music Release of the Album to meet Chennai Super Kings as well as their favourite Radio City RJs.
