Radio City hunts musical talent in Pune, Ahmedabad

MUMBAI: Radio City stations in Pune and Ahmedbad have launched a new initiative, 'Radio City Suron ka Sartaaj' on 28 July.

The station is calling upon singing talents in the cities to participate in finding a soulful, melodious voice. This talent hunt offers gifted listeners in Pune and Ahmedabad, the exciting opportunity to prove their musical genius and win Rs 1,00,000 in cash.

The hunt has started from 14 July in Pune and from 21 July in Ahmedabad. Participants have to drop their recorded CDs at the Radio City Office. By early August, the top five finalists will be announced in both cities. Each of the five finalists will get to go live on 'Whatte Fun Mornings' (7-11 am) and Joyride (5-9 pm) on Radio City in both cities.

During this period, listeners can vote for their favourite contestant. Well known names in the music industry too will judge the contestants on the show. Radio City will also organize special training programmes with musical 'gurus', who will personally groom and train these finalists, says a release.

The SMS-voting will conclude with the finale on 14 August at Gallops Mall, Ahmedabad and on 15 August at Mariplex Mall, Pune. The finalist will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges.
