Radio City goes on air in Pune

MUMBAI: Punekars got their second private radio station with Radio City 91.1 FM making its launch in the city.

Radio Mirchi is already operational in Pune. This is Radio City's 18th FM station in India and its seventh station in Maharashtra.

Radio city will function round-the-clock and have live service from 7 am to 11 pm. The programme content includes a medley of music, contests, talk shows, events, humour and gossip with shows like Whatte Fun Mornings, City Spice, Hum Tum, and Joyride. ommenting on the launch of the Pune station, Radio City Apurva Purohit, "We are thrilled to be a part of the lives of the people of Pune. Combining musical expertise, innovations and creativity, Radio City brings to Pune compelling content and a music mix strategically planned to uplift the mood of its listeners. The station has lined up interactive activities like 'Jinka Cash Tana Tan' starting 14 April 2007 where 10 lucky listeners can win cash from Rs 500 to Rs 4000 on the spot every day for a month between 4 to 8 pm. These winners will get to meet Radio City RJs and may also get a chance to go on-air.
