Radio City enters Limca Book of Records for 'tallest golu in India'

MUMBAI: Known for its record breaking initiatives in the past, Radio City has once again entered the Limca Book of Records for creating the ‘Namma City Golu’ as the ‘tallest golu in India’. The event was held on 24 October at Plaza Mall in Chennai.

‘Golu’ is the sacred doll made during the nine day Navratri festival, as a mark of celebration. The ‘Namma City Golu’ was an installation of 36 feet and four inches that was created in the mall. It marked the social initiative undertaken by the station, where a large number of the dolls were collected and distributed amongst orphaned children on the occasion of Dussehra.

Present at the occasion were TN State Traffic and Planning ADGP IPS S Rajendran, veteran actor and comedian S Ve Shekar, actor T S Ranganathan and actor-director Lakshmi Rama Krishnan.

Earlier this year, the Non Traditional Revenue (NTR) arm of the network, Radio City Connect entered the record book for its activity ‘Himalayan Facial Marathon’ held in Jalandhar where it conducted 1012 facials in a span of three hours.
