MUMBAI: While using social networking sites to promote their music is not new, band Punkh has gone a step forward. The band will release a single titled Namaste, dedicated to the spirit of the Commonwealth Games, live on Facebook on 1 October.

Off late, social networking sites have become the hub for artistes as well as common man to express their views over every current topic, CWG being one of the most heated topic of discussion on the site. Hence the band conceived the idea of releasing the song on Facebook. Listeners can sample and buy the song on Hungama's Artistaloud.com which is supporting the band's initiative and pushing the song through its verticals across.

The seven member band churns out array of sounds including hiphop ,drum n bass, desi/german underground sounds.
