Pune-based musician Che aims to make Moby-like music video

MUMBAI: Chetana Kinger, known under her stage name as Ché is adamant on releasing an animated music video for her next single, 'Belonging'. She intends to make the music video reminiscent to Moby's 2009 single 'Pale Horses'.

Ché's earlier single was 'Point of Return' and is currently featured on Vh1 India's 'India Rules' music section. The ambitious singer has stated that she does not want to release her new songs all at once. She wants to concentrate on marketing every song each with a different music video. “I want to release singles first and immediate follow it with a music video. Then compile all of them together to form an extended play (EP)."

The singer is currently talking to violinists, cellists and saxophonists to join her in the recording for her upcoming singles. Ché refuses to play the songs that she has written at live events without first having recorded the tracks in the studio. In the next few months, she wants to release up to five singles.Ché is so particular about the way she wants her songs to sound that soon after 'Point of Return', she had recorded a track called 'And You Say'; but, was simply unimpressed with the final product. Now, she will re-record the track and release the new version soon.

Ché started song-writing four years ago. However, in her opinion, she simply cannot connect with the songs that she had written then. “I was in a different state of mind then I am now. But, I will revisit the old songs and tweek them a bit."The Pune-based singer/songwriter is learning the ropes of the industry. “Being my own manager, my own music agent, I am constantly learning how the music industry in our country functions," Ché said. Ché's track 'Point of Return' can also be seen on her Youtube page.

Ché promises to keep her fans updated with the new music via her Facebook page: facebook.com/cheofficialpage.
