MUMBAI: 'Adwait Sangeet', a documentary on renowned vocalists Padma Bhushan Pandit Rajan and Pandit Sajan Mishra of the Banaras 'gharana' was screened at the 42nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.

The documentary �Adwait Sangeet' captures the life of two living legends reliving their personal and musical journey. Directed by Makarand Brahme, the 90-minute documentary in Hindi is an insightful look into one of the leading classical music traditions of India and tries to give a strong social message on Indian cultural tradition, family values and its continuing relevance.

The two brothers are the rare vocalists who have been singing together for the last 40 years. The film was shot across Delhi, Dehradun and Banaras and shows how the brothers coped with the changing times and stayed steadfast in their values and traditions.

Addressing the press conference Rajan Mishra said, Indian Classical Music is gaining in influence and the audiences are flocking back to the theatres to listen to good music. Indian music is impacting other arts and I foresee better times ahead....
