MUMBAI: After launching three web radio streams catering to various genres of music, PlanetRadiocity is all geared up to launch its fourth online radio station ‘Smaran’ featuring tracks of the devotional genre. The web radio stream will be unveiled on 12 December by renowned bhajan and ghazal singer Anup Jalota.

‘Radio City Smaran’ will feature devotional and spiritual music that is difficult to hear in the FM radio space due to certain limitations. The station will also delve into various other genres like bhajans, classical, Sufi, chants, wellness music and more.

On the occasion, the Bhajan samrat Anup Jalota will also present his famous Bhajans exclusively for Radio City listeners. The singer has also partnered with the online radio station to promote his musical album “Bhagavad Gita”- simplified and sung in Hindi.

‘Radio City Smaran’ is the fourth online radio station to be launched this year on PlanetRadiocity.com after ‘Radio City Indipop’, ‘Radio City Freedom’ and ‘Radio City Hindi’. The station launched ‘Indipop Radio' earlier this year and encouraged by the response further unveiled ‘Freedom Radio'. With music consumption gaining momentum on the digital medium, the radio station is going all out to expand its repertoire of content to cater to a wide range of audiences.
