Pink to release collaborative album 'Rose Ave' with Dallas Green this October

MUMBAI: Pop-rock singer Pink has teamed up with Canadian rocker Dallas Green, who releases his music under the name City and Colour. The two will soon be launching a brand new album, but surprisingly, neither artiste will go by the names they are best known for. Instead, the collaborative effort is simply called You+Me and the album, titled 'Rose Ave', will be launched on 14 October.

The album's first track, also titled 'You+Me' was released recently, and is a far cry from the 'True Love' singer's usually upbeat and fast-paced tunes. In a release, Pink (born Alicia Moore) called the album a “passionate project” for both artistes and stated that their “instant connection” is what inspired the material.

Pink and Green were apparently introduced to each other by the 35 year old singer's husband- Carey Hart. The two decided to write a few songs together and after about a week, completed eight tunes which have been turned into an acoustic folk album that comprises ten tracks in total.

'Rose Ave' will be Pink's first release since her last album 'Truth About Love', which came out around two years ago. The 'Just Give Me a Reason' singer had been on tour for the album from February 2013, and only wrapped up her live gigs early this year. Since then, she has been relatively quiet, no doubt, getting her upcoming release ready.

Prior to going solo, Green was vocalist, songwriter and guitarist for the band Alexisonfire since 2001. The band released a number of EPs and four albums before calling it quits in 2011 to enable Green to work on his solo project- City and Colour.
