MUMBAI: Paying tribute to the legendary psychedelic band Pink Floyd, Hard Rock Cafe Delhi will host a special show on 29 March. India’s only tribute show for the band ‘Think Floyd’ will feature some of the greatest hits from the band along with a sound and light display that built a cult following for Pink Floyd during their career. Conceived in 2006 as a collaborative production, the show features select music, surround sound, extravagant lights and visual imagery set to contemporary social themes. ‘Think Floyd’ is a convergence of artistes from various bands like Abhishek Mathur (Guitar & Vocals), Chayan Adhikari (Vocals & Guitar), Gaurav Chintamani (Guitar) and Anindo Bose (Keyboards & Computers) from ‘Advaita’, Chintan Kalra (Bass & Vocals) from ‘Parikrama’, Surojit Dev (Drums) from ‘Them Clones’, Rohit Kulkarni (Guitar & Vocals) from ‘Rohit Kulkarni and Band’. Apart from their gigs and performances, ‘Think Floyd’ is also a part of ‘Bring Down The Walls’ - India's first original concert theatre, which premiered in New Delhi in 2010. Pink Floyd were the pioneers of psychedelic music and one of the biggest selling acts on the planet. The group acquired a sensational reputation by performing sound and light shows building a cult following that continue to grow even after years of the bands break up.
