MUMBAI: Celebrating the occasion of World Music Day, Oye FM initiated special programming and music across its seven stations in India.
In Mumbai and Delhi, the station hosted live music shows with unplugged performances by artistes like Tochi Raina, Kavita Seth, Shamir Tandon, Hard Kaur and Babul Supriyo amongst others.
The station re-vamped its programming around the theme ‘Re-emergence of Bengali Music’ as a strong contender in the global music scene in Kolkata. With the tagline ‘Oye FM Bangali Kaan, Bangali Gaan’ the station played hit Bengali film music in the city.
21 June celebrated as World Music Day, was originally a French concept, which has found its place amongst music aficionados in India too.
