Nokia Nfusion spawns homegrown DJs

MUMBAI: The winners of Nokia`s Nfusion initiative have won themselves a Universal promoted music album, as well as a chance to perform live in pubs across five Indian cities with wellknown disc jockeys.Nfusion. says Nokia, was launched by its Nseries brand in February 2007 to extend an innovative musical experience to Indian consumers. Uisng it new application - the DJ Mixer, that allows users of Nokia Nseries Music edition devices to remix sounds and convert them into sound clips at their fingertips, participants had to create winning music. The music album, brought to fete the winners, comprises three compositions created by winners DJ Ash, DJ Reme and DJ Manoj using an existing list of tracks provided by Universal. The album also includes six exclusive tracks created by DJ Nasha, DJ Whosane! and DJ Kris. The winners of Nfusion, selected by a jury assembled by Fashion Television India, will perform live with Nasha, Whosane! and Kris in popular pubs across five cities in the country, starting with Mumbai.

The entire concept, says the company, was designed with DJs mixing natural sounds recorded on Nseries music edition devices and people using similar themes to create music in a never before way.

The DJ Mixer is a new remixing application launched by Nokia Nseries which allows the users of Nokia Nseries music edition devices to record songs on their phones and create their own style of music, by re-mixing them with tracks available. The winning compositions of `Nfusion` are available at www.nokia.co.in/nseries and album is available at Nokia Priority Dealer outlets, Nokia Concept Stores and music stores across five cities. FTV India, says Nokia, chose three DJs from the music industry to be the face of this Nseries Nfusion album, contest and event. It will also facilitate the five city album promotional gigs tour with a party in FTV`s distinct style.
