New label Apple Music launched
MUMBAI: A new music label christened �Apple Music' has been launched with Richa Sharma's album �Again Dekh jawani dekh' as its first offering.
The album is a remix version of Richa Sharma's �Dekh Jawani dekh' earlier launched under Meet Bros Music Co, the company floated earlier this year by the Meet Brothers. Apple music proprietor Israr Ansari says, I was the producer of the album launched by Meet Brothers earlier, so we thought it would be a great idea to launch our own label with the remix version of the track....
The new label would be a platform to encourage new talent and provide opportunities to people in search of a label to launch their work,... affirms Ansari.
The label already has some albums and Bollywood films lined up under its banner. Commenting on the forthcoming projects, Ansari says, We have two films lined up with the model of �Dekh jawani dekh' Arshi under the banner Aman Film productions.... Apart from these film projects, the label is also planning to venture into non film albums, one by Mika and the other by Pakistani singer Najam Sheraz. We have already started shooting the videos for Najam's album and the legal formalities for Mika's album will be completed soon....
Products from Apple Music are marketed and distributed by Worldwide Records. Worldwide Records managing director Kumar Ratnakar confirms, We have struck a deal with the new label Apple music where we would be marketing and distributing albums produced by them. The first product launched is their newly released, �Again dekh jawani dekh' and we will continue to market and distribute every album by the music label henceforth.... This deal is not only limited to As part of promotional activities, the label undertook extensive promotional activities by featuring on hoardings, promos of TV channels, bus shelters, buses etc. The CDs are now available in all the major music retail outlets. We are also adding the ringtone codes in our ads and promo on TV to encourage digital downloads of the song. We are also planning to launch our website soon,... says Ansari.
