Mumbai: The Band of Boys and rock group Nexus have collaborated to form a new group called `Xenabob`,

"The new band will bring an amalgamation of digital and acoustic club music better known as Intelligent Dance Music (IDM) to India for the first time", stated an official release.

The Rock band Nexus comprises of Sangeet Haldipur (of Aasma fame), Sheldon D`Silva, and Gino Banks(son of ace drummer Louis Banks) . While Band of Boys members are Sherrein Varghese, Karan Oberoi, Siddharth Haldipur and Chin2u Bhosle .

"Music is continuously changing and we as musicians and singers are always restless and looking for new ways to stimulate ourselves! One day we went to a night club after a show and were sitting there bored and we started singing different songs to different tunes, old hindi songs to the grooves of Prodigy, U2 and Doors to Indian grooves, etc. and thus was born the concept of Interactive Dance Music (IDM) and we the group XENABOB" said Sherrin Varghese.But does this means no Band of Boys? "No way!" came the instant reply. "We will still be continuing our old stuff, coming out with new albums, but this is just another segment we are experimenting along with our pop music albums that we generally make." said one of the members.
