Mumbai: Nerverek were declared winners and Stitch and Five 8 were adjudged first and second runners-up at the Hero Honda Motorola Campus Rock Idols recently.The annual independent competition for amateur bands at the campus level in its fourth edition this year, started on 27 October 2007, was held across ten cities, and reached the finale on 2 December 2007 at University Polo Grounds, North Campus.

The competition that offers bands to perform on a professional, technical and a much evolved production offering was won by Neverek, which won a cash prize of Rs 75,000 plus a debut opportunity to open for an international rock iconic artist promoted by DNA Networks. The first and second runners-up were awarded cash prizes of Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.

The Campus Rock Idol event aims to promote music and support to deserving bands and promises to return back the next year with the aim to provide a yet bigger platform to the amateur bands across India.
