Music of Kannada film 'Accident' launched

BANGALORE: Vishishta Productions launched the music of its first feature film - a Kannada movie titled Accident, that stars Ramesh Arvind and Pooja Gandhi. The film will be released in Karnataka on 4 April.

The production house has tied up with Bangalore based Anand Audio Video for use of its infrastructure in distribution and marketing of the music. The music copyright has been retained with the producers for the present, and depending on the success of the movie, Anand Audio's Mohan Chhabria will take a call about acquiring the music rights.
Ricky Kej is the music director of Accident. The film has five core songs, but the album that was released yesterday has nine songs, four of which are re-mixes. Two songs each have been sung by Sonu Nigam and Kannada female singer Chaitra; S P Balasubramaniam, Kunal Ganjawala and Channel V Popstar finalist Avinash have sung a song each.

"We have used Pizzicato strings, a lot o analog synth sounds (probably a first for Kannada cinema claims Kej) as well as a lot of Indian instrumental instruments in electronic form - this includes the Sarangi and the Veena with fusion elements," revealed Kej while speaking with Radioandmusic.com.

This film has also clocked a few other firsts for a Kannada film - the film has a de facto endorsement from the Bangalore Traffic Police (BTP) , it is one of the first Kannada films made by a corporate entity and it is the first Kannada film with a voice portal.
