Mohit Anand to join Channel [V] as head

Mumbai: Star India has appointed Mohit Anand, former Microsoft India (Entertainment and Devices Division) country manager, as general manager for Channel [V].

Anand will take charge of Channel [V] from 21 April. He replaces Amar K Deb who recently quit the channel to float his own content-selling portal.

Speaking to Indiantelevision.com, Anand said: "I have quit Microsoft and am joining Channel [V] from 21 April. I have experience in entertainment. Being a part of Xbox 360, our target audience was youth."

In his eight-year stint at Microsoft, Anand was handling console and PC games in the country. He was actively involved in roping in film star Akshay Kumar and cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh as brand ambassadors for Xbox 360.
