16 ladies fight it out for title in the presence of well known singer Sunitha, actress Roja and Mirchi Bangalore RJs

BANGALORE: As part of its Women's Day celebrations, Radio Mirchi organized an initiative, Mirchi Maharani, wherein homemakers participated in various contests to win the title of Mirchi Maharani. RJ Anamika and RJ Dheeraja hosted a complete women's show which was strictly a No-Entry Zone for men as it catered to only women, with content varying from health tips to what's in the newspapers today and more, laced with friendly banter and personalized gifts given on air. And the ladies were in action at the finale of the Mirchi Maharani contest that took place at the Adithya Park Hotel.

Radio Mirchi provided a fitting finale to find Hyderabad's most charismatic woman. Contests exploring various domains of expertise of a woman were conducted, and 16 ladies were shortlisted.

Judges RJ Anamika and RJ Dheeraja tested the incredible women on the basic arts practiced in their day-to-day lives. Renowned playback singer Sunitha Upadrashta and actress Roja graced the occasion and crowned the Mirchi Maharani 2011.

RJ Anamika said, Women form a large percentage of our listeners. As an appreciation of their support we dedicated an event to them this Women's Day. I am sure these enthusiastic ladies have had a great time and we will continue to present such delight factors to our listeners which spice up everyday life....
