MUMBAI: Karan, a student of MMK College, Mumbai has been adjudged the winner of the Radio Mirchi-Animax RJ hunt `The Wacky Jockey hunt`.The hunt, targeted at youth in the 18 to 27 age bracket, was about finding Mumbai`s wackiest jockey and an opportunity for the winner to lend his / her voice to Radio Mirchi and animation TV channel Animax.
Karan will get to train with the programming team at Radio Mirchi for a month and also will get a contract with Animax as a voiceover artist with Animax for an entire animated series on the channel. The finals were held on 29 September 2007 at National College Auditorium, Bandra where Mirchi`s RJ Neha, along with experts from Animax judged the short listed participants. Radio Mirchi - Mumbai, Station Director, Sujata Bhatt said," There is a lot of potential amongst today`s youngsters and we are happy to provide them with a platform to demonstrate their talent. It`s a great opportunity to be selected a `Wacky Jockey` and Animax`s association with the hunt makes the whole opportunity more interesting."
