Metal band Brahma to launch album after 3 years

MUMBAI: Heavy metal band ‘Brahma’ who shot to fame through their performance at Farhad Wadia’s Independence Rock is back on music front. The band is all set to release their third studio album 'Brahma 3' on Universal Music.

The album features songs as a story telling experience post 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. The tracks aptly titled as 'Kasab,’ ‘A world post Holocaust’, ‘Unfriend and ‘Nowhere’ will also be released digitally.

Devraj Sanyal front-man of Brahma said, “We have been one of the country’s biggest names for a long time and our songs have affected people over the past 2 decades. Now we are back with a vengeance and want to conquer the world through our new music. We may be in our thirties and still have another decade or two of decadence left in us to give our fans the music they love”

Band drummer Cyrus Gorimar said, “We always wrote music that had melody as the most important part of the mix and that will never change. We have always been, are and will continue to be an uncompromising, heavy, hard hitting band and while the years may have made us better musicians in terms of sheer experience and playability but we will never be a softer band. That just isn’t in our DNA”

Earlier, Brahma has released two albums ‘The World Beyond’ on Virgo Music in 1998 and ‘Reborn’ in 2003. Through the albums, the band has gained a place in the Indian metal universe. The band is widely active on social network sites like facebook and the two albums are also also available on the music streaming site Reverbnation.
