MUMBAI: The Punjabi pop duo, Meet Bros- Harmeet and Manmeet Singh, are set to compose for Bollywood now.

The two are composing for Arindham Choudhary's next, �Do Dooni Char'. A light hearted comedy to be produced by Chaudhary's Planman banner, the film marks the comeback of yesteryear star couple Neetu Singh with Rishi Kapoor after a long hiatus of 26 years. The movie would be directed by debutante director Habib Faisal who has earlier scripted Yash Raj films such as �Ta Ra Rum Pum' and �Jhoom Barabar Jhoom'.

Speaking about the music, Harmeet Singh says, As the couple would make a comeback after two decades, the tracks would be nostalgic,  reminiscent of the 70s and 80s and would take music lovers back to the old school of music. We have so far composed four tracks and background score for the movie....

Today contemporary Bollywood music sounds the same and composers working on such music are experts in creating it. We would like to bring variations in the existing genre and create a new niche with variations in compositions, style and unexpected music....

We didn't have a lot of liberty while composing for the movie. The director gave defined illustrations about the music. But inspite of those limitations, we managed to compose good music. We had to strike a balance of working within the framework of the director's suggestions yet not compromise with our creativity....

Singers themselves, the duo would not be rendering their vocals to the album though. We would be venturing as music directors in the film and will not prefer to do playback singing.... The singers include Sunidhi Chauhan, Akriti Kakkar among others.

Talking about the importance of promotion for success of tracks, Singh cites an example of Oscar winning track, �Jai ho', which he believes got noticed before of the hype surrounding it. Rahman has hundreds of award wining numbers to his credit and Jai ho is nothing exceptional, his earlier compositions in Roja, Rangeela are phenomenal but Jai ho got him the due recognition....

The music is co-composed by composers Anjan-Ankit as well who would be debuting in Bollywood with this project. Apart from Do Dooni Char, the composers are also working on four other projects which are in the preliminary stage now.

Meet Bros had last year floated an independent music label, �Meet Bros Music Co' and have launched three albums by singers- Neha Kakkar, Arshi and Tishika. We pump in half of the production cost, the artists fund it partially and we share profits from physical sales, digital sales and stage performances. With piracy, music is almost free and there are marginal profits. Many a times, we just manage to recover the invested money. It is difficult to make profits, so we try to sustain by composing, singing etc....

Meet Bros are the latest in the industry to go the numerology way and change their name from �Meet Brothers' to �Meet Bros' and subsequently the music label came to be renamed as �Meet Bros Music Co....

Meet bros came under the limelight with their track, �Jogi Singh barnala singh' in their album, �Boond' with Zee Records. Also, they courted controversy after composing track �Aye bhai tune pappi kyu li' about the infamous Mika-Rakhi Sawant controversy.
