MUMBAI: After the success of Asha and Friends, Mauj music has launched the debut album of music composer Ismail Darbar titled `Rasiya Saajan`

The album was unveiled by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who was presented with Idol of Lord Krishna by Ismail Darbar on behalf of the Rasiya Saajan group and Mauj.

The titled video features film actress Neetu Chandra, who had worked in film like Garam Masala and Traffic Signal, which is directed by S Ramachandran and sung by Zubeen Garg. The other singers include Udit Narayan, Shaan, Hema Sardesai, Kunal Ganjawala,, Twinkle Bajpai and Nihira Joshi.

Managing director of People`s Group controlling Mauj, Shaadi.com and Fropper.com Anupam Mitta said, "Ismail Darbar is an award winning music composer and has proved that earlier with his work. His compositions are extremely good and the ones in this album for Mauj have a lot of depth. It is a terrific feeling that he accepted Mauj`s offer to launch his debut music album. After the success of Asha and Friends, Ismail Darbar`s music would be great for us to get associated with."

After the launch Ismail said,"The entire Mauj team is very charged about the album and that was the reason why I did the album with them. Rasiya Saajan is a compilation of five beautiful songs, which I have composed over a period of six months. The songs reflect a variety of emotions from eroticism to ecstasy and longing to romance."

After his acclaimed Asha and Friends video director S Ramachandran says that the music is awe inspiring. "When we heard the five songs, it took us a while to debate and discuss about which song we could film the video on. And then we decided on Rasiya Saajan because along with the feel of three classical raags, the song has western fusion. Having danced on Ismail`s songs before in Vishnu, she fitted like the proverbial glove."

When I came to Ismail`s studio sing for the album, I knew that both the songs which I sang, Ranaiyan and Rasiya Saajan are very good songs and have the potential to remain in people`s minds for a long time," says Zubeen Garg who recently won the GIFA award for Best Singer and Stardust award for best new talent.

Ismail has composed music for film like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Mehbooba (releasing soon), Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, Deewangee, Devdas, Ma Ashapura, Kisna and a south film called Vishnu
