MUMBAI: Beatles legendary singer Paul McCartney has roped in Mark Ronson to produce his 16th studio album.

According to reports, the album will comprise of classic tunes with a young hip edge and will be more contemporary as compared to any of his previous albums. McCartney released his fifteenth solo album in February, 'Kisses on the Bottom'.

A source told a daily, “This week they went to the studio and started knocking about together to see what they can do together. Everybody's really excited about the prospect of Mark Ronson working with Paul McCartney.”

Ronson has previously worked with artistes like Adele, Christina Aguilera and Lily Allen amongst others. In 2008, he won a Grammy for 'Producer of the Year' for his work with Amy Winehouse on the album 'Back to Black'.
