Majamisty Trio finds voice in India through Guitarmonk

NEW DELHI: 'Mistyland', a very soothing music piano album, has been released by Guitarmonk Records packed with classy, jazzy and unique music from the ‘Majamisty Trio’.

The generic style of this group was derived from the composer's relevant exposure in classical music and being naturally inclined with jazz has resulted to a unique and truly original approach to an ethereal music.

The album includes 10 of Maja Alvanovic's own compositions, one from her father, Blaza Alvanovic and a cover of Errol Garner's ‘Misty’.  The debut album of Majamisty’s  Mistyland was recorded in August 2010 in  the studio of  Boris Kovac, the famous Serbian composer.

The trio members are Maja Alvanovic (piano, bandleader and composer), Ervin Malina (double bass player) and Istvan Cik (drummer). Aleksandra Drobak also participated as special vocal guest in the Mistyland album.
