MUMBAI: Dancing diva Madhuri Dixit is testing her singing skills in Anubhav Sinha's upcoming film Gulab Gang. Till date it was her smile and dance that flattered audience now it is her voice that will do the magic. Dixit, who is all set to make her comeback with Gulab Gang, has recorded with her mother Snehlata Dixit.

Producer Sinha says the song has turned out very well. “When we approached Madhuri to sing a song in the film, she happily agreed to do so. When she came for the recording, she came with her mom and we discovered her mom is a very good singer. So we asked her mom if she could sing a song. Eventually, we got both Madhuri and her mom to sing a song in the film, ” Sinha said.

"I must say it has turned out very well. Even visually, the song is looking good. We finished our last schedule on 26 March. We are planning to release the film by August or September," Sinha added.

The film is inspired by Sampat Pal-led Gulabi Gang in Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh, which fights for the rights of women in the region.‘Gulabi Gang’ takes up the cause of women facing violence, domestic and social problems. It is a female-centric film where the story revolves around two iconic characters. Directed by Soumik Sen, the film stars Dixit, Huma Qureshi and Juhi Chawla in lead roles.
