Lyricist Neelesh Misra ropes story-telling into his upcoming album

MUMBAI: It is difficult to miss out the soothing words that flow from his pen. With recent hit like Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai tucked under his belt, lyricist Neelesh Misra is now set to release an album with his band Nine.

The band is coming up with an album which will see its release by September. The album consists of nine tracks based on the theme of nostalgia, the feeling that one goes through sometime or other in life. The music is very soulful, contemporary and acoustic going with the theme,... revealed Misra. All nine songs are woven into a story. I have chosen the conventional art of story-telling to link each track to the other. I will be narrating the story with the music in the background,... he further added.

Misra will be writing the lyrics for all the songs and will also be lending his voice to two tracks from this album. The lead female vocalist of the band is Shilpa Rao, who gave her refreshing voice to Khuda Jaane' from the film Bachna Ae Haseeno and Mudi Mudi' from Paa among other Bollywood hits. The other members of the band include guitarist Ankur Mukherjee, keyboard player Aditya Pushkar, bass guitarist Rushad Mistry and drummer Attur Soni.
