MUMBAI: Electro-pop duo LMFAO are all set to co-host and perform at the Much Music Video Awards on 17 June in Toronto.
The hit-making pair comprising of Redfoo and SkyBlu will join Katy Perry for the ceremony. LMFAO will perform some of their hit tracks like ‘Party Rock Anthem’ and ‘Sexy and I Know It’. Additional performers and presenters will be announced on a later date.
LMFAO said, “Canada is the first place LMFAO went number one, and now the first place we will host an award show. It’s going to be a night you won't forget.”
Much Music Video Awards executive producer Sheila Sullivan said, “LMFAO are going to electrify this year’s MMVAs. This duo really knows how to party so they are fitting co-hosts for the only street level award show on the planet and best party of the year. Their energy and enthusiasm is sure to light up the stage.”
Earlier this year, LMFAO performed with Queen of Pop Madonna, at the 2012 Super Bowl XLVI halftime show. The duo will embark on their summer tour in July and will travel across Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec and Laval.
