Numerology helps us to understand our characteristics, the influence of planets on our date of birth and the lucky numbers. One can take the benefits of the working of strong and potent name vibrations and how these simple yet effective steps can help us to lead a successful life. Let us look at the 9 numbers and the way they are said to represent each of the 9 planets.

Numerology is the  science of Numbers. As we have 9 planets in the universe, so do we have 9 single digit numbers beginning from 1 and ending at 9. Zero (0) is not assigned any value and hence it is ignored here. In fact, the presence of zero in the birth date is considered, well,  not very fortunate. Numbers greater than 9 are a repetition in themselves and hence are added to reduce to a single digit number. Like 29 = 2 + 9 = 11 = 1+1 = 2.

Every planet is assigned numbers. The all powerful Sun  is a creator of life force on Earth. Life is just not possible on Earth without â€?Sun'. Hence, it is the atma-kark grah. Number 1 and its series like 10, 19, 28 etc. have been assigned to â€?Sun'  People born on any of these dates are said to be under the influence of Sun.

Moon, a natural satellite of mother Earth, is represented by Number 2 and all its series -- like 11, 20, 29 etc. People born on any of these dates are under the influence of Moon. It is also known as Mann-Kark as it rules the mind of the natives.

Jupiter, the great Guru, is represented by Number 3 and all its series -- like 12, 21, 30 etc. People born on any of these dates are said to be under the influence of Jupiter.

Rahu, as per Indian Vedic Shastra, also known as Uranus as per Western astrology, is represented by Number 4 and all its series -- like 13, 22, 31 etc. People born on any of these dates are said to be under the influence of Rahu/Uranus.

Mercury, being the planet of communication, is represented by Number 5 and all its series -- like 14, 23 etc. People born on any of these dates are said to be under the influence of Mercury.

Venus, the teacher of Demons, rules beauty, art, music and entertainment, and is represented by Number 6 and all its series -- like 15, 24 etc. People born on any of these dates are said to be under the influence of Venus.

Ketu, as per Indian Vedic Shastra (also known as Neptune as per Western astrology) is represented by Number 7 and all its series -- like 16, 25 etc. People born on any of these dates are under the influence of Ketu/Neptune.

Saturn, being the Karmic planet, is a strict disciplinarian and a hard task master, and is represented by Number 8 and all its series -- like 17, 26 etc. People born on any of these dates are under the influence of Saturn.

And finally, Mars, the planet of war, energy, action and aggression, is represented by a Number 9 and all its series -- like 18, 27 etc. People born on any of these dates are under the influence of Mars.

As I said in the beginning of this piece, numbers and its vibrations are powerful and it is very important that due respect is given to this Science of Numbers, as clever use of these numbers can spell success. In my study of more than a decade of this marvellous science of Numbers, I have observed how improper and bad vibrations in the name can bring ill-luck to the subject. No wonder, I see more and more parents are resorting to the use of scientific name working for their babies.
