LazyCounty launches in India; allows users to create radio station

MUMBAI: Social broadcast and entertainment portal ‘LazyCounty.com’ has launched in India. It offers social networking, online communications and entertainment across TV, radio and games station on one platform.

The website also features an application ‘Hear Me Out’ allowing users to create their own radio station by uploading audio tracks of their choice. Users need to register on the portal to get time slots during which they can broadcast the chosen tracks. They can also earn money by monetizing the advertisements placed in between the tracks. The revenue earned through these ads will be shared between the user and website on a set percentage basis.

Positioned as India’s first and only free of cost digital TV showcasing over national and international TV channels, radio stations and games, LazyCounty.com aims to take user experience to a different level with mobile interface which is accessible through any mobile device enabled with basic GPRS connectivity.

LazyCounty CEO Ankur Sachdev said, “The latest need of a user on the move searching for ways of information and entertainment is the primary reason behind this platform. Ours is a platform where a billion mobile internet users (GSM/CDMA) across the world, apart from 381.40 million in India, can combine the power of mobility with that of digital TV, radio and games. We aim to entertain at least 100 million subscribers over the next two years.”

The social broadcast channel allows users to register and broadcast themselves on their very own channel aiming to connect entertainment and friends across the globe. The user can view and share unlimited music, movies, shows, concerts, lectures, conversations and more free of cost.

One can also live chat with friends, comment and share reviews on the go through the Lazy Messenger. With over 100 million users being able to access chat from any mobile device, Lazy Messenger (LM) is all set to give IM Services a run for their money within the next two years.
