Landmark launches music album Kama Sutra - Moods of love

Mumbai, November 7, 2006: Landmark, India`s leading music retail store launched the music album Kama Sutra Moods of Love with the director/ producer Mahesh Bhatt and a Live performance by Abhishek Ray.

Eloquently capturing the Myriad Moods of Love on the Mystical Canvas of Music, This album is crafted to take the listener on a magical journey. The listener travels through the different phases of love and experiences emotions embedded in each Track starting from furtive glances, romantic swells, torrid passion to the pathway to Nirvana. According to an offcial release.

Abhishek Ray has been composing music for television since his school days. He learnt about the treasures of ragas and raginis from both parents who are trained in hindustani classical music. Simultaneously he took proffessional training in western classical music and the piano from and early age.

In television Abhishek has numerous contributions to the teleserial industry. A few selected names for which he has composed the complete music would be Rajdhani (on star plus produced by kaleidoscope india) ,Zaike ka safar, Morning zee, breakfast with Zee, Crime reporter, Mystery unfolds, Rubaru etc (On Zee TV, Zee News), Discovery people (on Discovery channel), India magic (on Sony TV) Paas ho tum door bhi [on DD national ] etc.

Abhishek has composed the complete channels music for channels like DD news, Zee news etc. He has directed music for many documentaries for BBC ,DD and other international channels.

His first major hit was the much talked about the album - Udaas paani with the legendary gulzar. This was the combination of gulzar`s poetry with Ray`s music.The music was the fusion of indian classical raga`s and world music.
