Lamb of God to perform at B'lore's first Summer Storm fest

BANGALORE: Two-time Grammy Nominated American heavy metal band Lamb of God will headline the first edition of â€?Summer Storm Festival' in Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, on May 15, 2010 

Richmond, Virginia based Lamb of God is currently one of the biggest names in heavy metal globally. A favourite of fans and critics alike, the band was formed in 1994, and has released six studio albums so far. The latest of these, titled �Wrath', not only debuted at number two on the Billboard 200, but also sold close to 68,000 copies in its first week of release.

The band consists of vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell, and drummer Chris Adler. The band is considered to be a member of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal.

India, which is known to have a rapidly burgeoning metal following, will see the band perform for the first ever time at the �Summer Storm Festival' in Bangalore.

Among the other bands that will be performing at The Summer Storm Festival include Extinct Reflections and Bhoomi from Bangalore.

The event has been organized by Overture, a Bangalore based startup enterprise by Arpan Peter and Vinay Venugopal. Overture aims to support contemporary artists.
