Lady Gaga triumphs at '2011 MTV EMA'
MUMBAI: Global superstar Lady Gaga has triumphed '2011 MTV EMA', by winning four awards at the star-studded event held in Belfast's Odyssey Arena.
The outrageous popstar confirmed the title of Pop Queen by scoring Best Female, Best Song, Best Video and Biggest Fan award.
Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and â€?Thirty Seconds to Mars' each won two awards with pop phenomenon Bieber taking home the trophies for Best Male and Best Pop. Thirty Seconds to Mars were honoured in the Best Alternative category and Best World Stage, while Bruno Mars was crowned with Best Push and Best New categories.
Other artistes to win 2011 EMA awards were hip hop maverick Eminem for Best Hip Hop artist, Linkin Park for popular choice Best Rock, Katie Perry's live performances for Best Live award and Korean boy band BIGBANG for the inaugural Best Worldwide award.
The '2011 MTV EMA' hosted by popstar Selena Gomez featured live performances off some of the world's biggest star including Justin Bieber, David Guetta, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jessie J, LMFAO, Snow Patrol and Queen.
The show will be aired on VH1 India on 8 November at 9pm.
