MUMBAI: Katy Perry leads the nomination with nine categories for 2011 MTV Video Music Awards... to be held on 28 August.

Leading the nominations with �Video of the Year'and �Best Female Video' for hit single �Firework', the diva has also been nominated for �Best Pop Video' Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) and �Best Special Effects' for her futuristic chart-topping hit and top selling digital song �E.T.' featuring Kanye West.

Adele and Kanye West have recieved seven nominations each, following the success of �21' Adele has been nominated for smash hit �Rolling in the Deep' and Kanye West for his collaboration with Perry, and for artistic videos �All of the Lights' and �Power.

Other nominees are Bruno Mars, Beyonc?©, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Beastie Boys, Chris Brown, Pitbull,  Lil Wayne, and first time VMA nominees includes Tyler, The Creator, Foster the People and Manchester Orchestra.
