Karsh Kale to release 'Cinema - Special Indian Edition'

MUMBAI: Indian-American multi-instrumentalist Karsh Kale will release his critically acclaimed fifth studio album ‘Cinema’ with a special performance in India.  Kale will release ‘Cinema 2012 – Special Indian Edition’ on 16-17 March at Blue Frog in Mumbai and Delhi respectively.

The special edition will feature exclusive remixes signifying Kale’s ability to merge Hindustani classical with electronica and progressive rock. Cinema also comprises of renowned collaborative track with artistes like Monica Dogra, Papon, Anne Rani, Shruti Pathak and Salim Merchant who has also co-written the track ‘Ma’ featuring vocals of Kale’s daughter Milan Xai. The album is co-produced by renowned singer Gaurav Raina of Midival Punditz.

The multi-instrumentalist has also crooned for a single ‘Hallelujah’ produced in collaboration with guitarist/composer Warren Mendonsa. The track released on NH7 official site is a cover of Jeff Buckley/Leonard Cohen classic, and is performed over the Blackstratblues song ‘Ode to a Sunny Day’.

The album ‘Cinema’ when released in the US (2011) ranked on #1 spot on iTunes World Music Charts, #3 on the Amazon International Bestsellers and #4 on the Amazon Dance/DJ Charts. The album is available for download on the official site of NH7.
