JuxtConsult names Guruji.com preferred music destination

MUMBAI: Indian search engine, Guruji.com has been rated as the most preferred music search engine by JuxtConsult, the online market research company in India. In a recent survey, it ranked Guruji.com as the most preferred music search engine in terms of user experience compared with the other key players in the market. The research offers comprehensive insight and advanced understanding of online music search preferences of regular internet users.

Having lauched its music search product in 2008, Guruji.com has constantly upgraded its search engine enabling the product to be more user friendly. JuxtConsult conducted the survey across various demographics with a vast sample size taken from JuxtConsult's own 145,000+ internet user panel �www.getcounted.net'. The sample size consisted of users between 15-35 years age group; all of whom were �prior' music searchers online but not necessarily prior users of the specific websites they wereasked to test for this survey.

The survey was conducted across various parameters assigning the respondents specific tasks to complete and compare between music search engines and music sites – Google.com, In.com, Songs.pk and Guruji.com. The survey was conducted considering various aspects to ultimately judge the over all search experience which included the appeal of the home page, time taken for task completion, degree of task completion, ease of usage, iteration of key words, language support by the website and many more factors which would influence an online user to when searching. In the summary of mean scores for Overall Search Experience. Guruji.com got 4. 5 followed by In.com at 4.1, Google.com at 4 and Songs.pk at 3.6. The research threw up interesting data – Guruji.com delivered a far more satisfying overall music search experience, with 58 per cent rating the Guruji.com experience as extremely pleasant and easy. Google scored 38 per cent, In.com 42 per cent and Songs.pk 25 per cent. For timeliness of task completion 59 per cent voted that Guruji.com was the fastest when compared with the other websites. Google was at 42 per cent. As far as smooth search was concerned, 78 per cent of the respondents felt that among the other three websites, Guruji.com was the most user friendly.
