MUMBAI: Pop-teen sensation Justin Bieber has released his latest R&B single ‘Boyfriend’ on iTunes.

The track produced by American singer, songwriter and producer Mike Posner is the first single from Bieber’s upcoming album ‘Believe’. The single depicts Bieber’s role as a boyfriend in an relationship.

Bieber told a daily that he sees 'Believe' as an opportunity to present a more mature version of himself to his fans. "I'm maturing, and my music's maturing, so I wanted to do something different."

Island Def Jam Music Group president and chief operating officer Steve Bartels said, “Though Bieber's new sound is more vocally assertive, he has an opportunity to broaden his audience with the new, more mature material. I have a daughter who is eight and has always loved Justin, but what's interesting is that when I played Boyfriend for my 14-year-old son, he thought it was cool. I think Justin will hold on to his core crowd but also win new fans."
