MUMBAI: After the success of 2011 ‘Aman Ki Asha’ concert, India’s contemporary indie-folk band ‘Indian Ocean’ and Pakistan based pop band ‘Strings’ have once again collaborated. The bands plan to release a single ‘Humse Bada Nahi Dekha’ by the month of August.
The new single is based on the theme of peace between the two countries. Speaking about the new single with Radioandmusic.com, Indian Ocean drummer Amit Kilam said, “Our effort is to bring peace and boost the bond between the two countries through the single. We have collaborated with several artistes but the association with Strings is special. This track speaks about peace between the two countries and is very close to our hearts.”
Kilam informed that the band is currently working on their forthcoming album, but refused to divulge any details.
Strings will perform on 8 and 10 June in Mumbai and Delhi respectively. The concert will be held as part of Le Club Musique, a music club initiated by Lucky Morani and Bina Aziz. Comprising of Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsud, ‘Strings’ have been performing in India for more than a decade.
