MUMBAI: Exceptionally talented kids from across the country are fighting hard to win the coveted title of Indian Idol Junior. Although the premium singing reality show, is not competing strong with shows like DID Super Moms(Zee TV) and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa-6 (Colors) at the same weekend time slot, the talented kids are expected to win the heart of the audience soon.

The audition stage is over and the show will air its first episode on Sunday 23 June. Meanwhile as judges playback singer Shreya Ghoshal and music director duo Vishal-Shekhar are extremely delighted to see some of the finest singing talent on the platform, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has revealed the name of his favourite contestant on Twitter.

Khan made a special mention about one contestant Aakash from Haryana in his tweet, “Indian Idol Junior… 13 year-old Aakash was superb. So happy for him and his father.”

It does not end here, as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa participant-singer Shaan tweeted, “Sonakshi on Indian Idol Junior... Absolutely unbelievable Talent!! Shreya Ghoshal, Shekhar and Vishal-you guys are having such a blast.”

Director Sujoy Ghosh and producer Siddharth Basu too tweeted about the extraordinary talent on Indian Idol Junior.

Hosted by Mandira Bedi and Karan Wahi, the singing reality show airs at 8.30 pm on Saturday and Sunday on Sony Entertainment Television.
