Indian Idol 6 contestants perform romantic numbers in fourth gala round

MUMBAI: The sixth season of singing reality show Indian Idol is garnering popularity with its uniquely themed gala rounds each week. While the third gala round witnessed tracks of western tunes, this week the contestants will perform romantic numbers.

The episode will witness performances of Amit Kumar on ‘Tujhe dekh dekh hasna’, Vipul Mehta on ‘Teri ankho ke siva’, Sohini Mishra on ‘Chupke se lag ja gale’, Ritika Raj rendering ‘Taare hain barati’, Poorvi Koutish singing ‘Goonji si hain’, Kaushik Deshpande on ‘Jab kisi ki nazar’ and Devendra Pal Singh singing ‘Tumne mujhe dekha’. Singh won the title of performer of the day.

The fourth gala round will have the cast of ‘Kya Super Kool Hai Hum’ Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar Kapoor as special guest judges. Both the stars will indulge in fun moments, gift each participant an item related to their personality and perform on popular tracks from their upcoming movie. The episode will also witness Riteish Deshmukh singing a Marathi track with judge Asha Bhosle, while Tusshar Kapoor will sing the track ‘Ding dong ding dole’ with Anu Malik and Sunidhi Chauhan.

The episode will air on Friday, 27 July 2012.
