MUMBAI: After three years of his death, The King of Pop - Michael Jackson is still alive in the hearts of his fans through groovy tunes and distinctive dance forms. Several concerts and specials featuring the singer’s popular songs and videos have been organized by fans across the globe to commemorate his death anniversary today.

Reminiscing his distinct musical sound and vocal style, music channels and radio stations in India are presenting new segments to beguile music lovers. 9X Media Group’s international music channel 9XO, is airing a special playlist of MJ’s best videos throughout the day. 9XO’s ‘O Heart MJ’ unveils a special packaging in the form of a video wall that features MJ album covers. The channel has also organized an online contest lending an opportunity to win a special 3 DVD collection of his 35 legendary short film music videos.

Speaking about the programming and packaging, 9XO programming head Luke Kenny said, “Michael Jackson is the King of entertainment, a singer, artist and a performer par excellence. His music has been a huge inspiration for music lovers across the globe. We at 9XO will air MJ’s most memorable songs and videos with a special packaging in the form of a video wall that features MJ album covers. We will also run an online contest on the 9XO facebook page.”

While 9XO has dedicated a special programming for the pop legend, Big CBS Spark has also planned out a whole new line-up for the enigmatic singer. The channel is broadcasting the late singer’s 16 most celebrated tracks, every alternate hour today. It is offering six hours of MJ music including immortal tracks like ‘Black or White’, ‘Thriller’, ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Bad’ amongst others.

India’s first international channel VH1 is also broadcasting a special music block ' In memory of MJ' showcasing MJ’s all time hit songs. The radio station Radio One which plays international tracks is paying tribute to the legend by airing his popular songs and trivia.

Earlier, Radio One and Hard Rock Cafe had hosted a special MJ musical night which witnessed performances by groups of prominent artistes from Mumbai and Delhi.
