Indian band Motherjane contributes to international PEACE project

MUMBAI: India's most sought after live act Motherjane will now be featured on the international PEACE album that boasts of musicians from over 50 countries. The Cochin based band has especially written the song 'Tribes of Babel' for this compilation.

PEACE, the music atlas project by Buffetlibre and Amnesty International, is scheduled to release on 1 March  and will be made available for free to all those who make a minimum donation of €2 in favor of the NGO Amnesty International through the official PEACE website. All benefits will go to Amnesty International's humanitarian aid projects in areasofconflict.

Indian band Menwhopause and Shaa'ir and Func are also a part of this compilation.

To the long list features artistes such as Micah P Hinson (USA), Mogwai(UK), Stereo Total (Germany), The Pet Conspiracy (China), The Hidden Cameras (Canada),Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (USA), KerenAnn (Israel), JoriHulkkonen(Finland), Martha Galarraga(Cuba), Kiala(Congo), HeiddyHappy (Switzerland) in collaboration with Paul Niehausfrom Calexico, and TitiRobin (France). With these additions, 56 countries are represented in the compilation, by some of its best artists.

The official website, has already released its first single 'Mike' written and composed by Ivri Lider, one of Israel's most successful singer/songwriters. Ivri Lider's is a multi-instrumentalist who has seen each of his six albums achieve gold or platinum status and Lider taking home Male Singer of the Year.

One month before the official launch of the PEACE compilation, Buffetlibre will announce the latest additions to this new initiative and include new exclusive songs by musicians from over 50 countries building the first musical atlas on the net.

PEACE will be digitally available worldwide in March 1, 2010
